What Job Reality processes

When you use Job Reality to check a job, the service processes the job posting URL you submit so it can analyze the posting and return an APPLY, VERIFY, or SKIP recommendation.

Chrome extension

The Job Reality Chrome extension reads the URL and title of the active browser tab so you can check the page you are viewing. It does not read page contents, cookies, passwords, form entries, or your browsing history database.

When you request an analysis, the job URL is sent to the Job Reality service at job-reality-pi.vercel.app/api/analyze.

Job analysis history

Job Reality may retain information needed to recognize previously observed job postings and improve repeat-analysis results. This can include the posting URL, observation time, job title, and employer name.

Analytics

Job Reality uses Vercel Web Analytics to understand page visits and whether job checks are started, completed, or fail. Custom job-check events contain only the event type and, for completed checks, the recommendation and confidence category. They do not include the job URL, job title, employer name, or text entered into the form. Vercel processes analytics data under its own service terms and privacy policy.

How information is used

Information is used to provide job-posting analysis, evidence, recommendations, repeat-observation signals, and operation of the Job Reality service. Job Reality does not sell your browsing history or use the Chrome extension to build a general browsing-history profile.

Third-party job sources

Analysis may retrieve publicly available information from job boards, applicant-tracking systems, employer sites, and other public sources. Those sites have their own privacy policies and terms.

Security

Job Reality uses standard web-service and hosting infrastructure to operate the application. No method of internet transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Changes

This policy may be updated as Job Reality adds features or changes how information is processed. The date above identifies the current version.
